PAINTINGS

In 2014 I was invited to do a Residency in Leipzig Germany at The Culturny Dom (Culture House). It would be my first opportunity to hand refine flax seed, walnut and poppy seed oils. I used this hand refined combination of oils to make a putty medium, which I've come to call "XMEDIUM" and an Oil Ground. I then used the combination  of XMEDIUM and the Oil Ground to make 50 solo paintings as well as 9 paintings in my Second Collaboration with Barbara Lamoot.

This experience has changed the way I make paintings and has deepened my understanding of this Ancient Art Form of making pictures with oil.
